Murwah Murad
Associate Attorney

What is your experience/qualifications?
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Pre-Law Track Minor and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Science, Technology and Law. I also earned an Honors Laureate Diploma from Virginia Tech. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2024.
During law school, I volunteered at a public-interest immigration law firm, clerked at a complex litigation law firm, interned in-house at a property development company, worked as a legal research assistant, worked at an estate planning firm and participated in a housing clinic as a student attorney. Following graduation, I practiced for one year as a worker’s compensation litigation attorney and one year as a family law and estate planning attorney prior to landing at Safe Harbor Estate Law. Based on work history and skills, I bring a holistic and well-rounded approach to every matter that I work on.
What do you like most about estate planning/elder law?
I like helping families and vulnerable adults plan for their futures and have peace of mind that they will be taken care of down the road. I adamantly believe that every person should have autonomy over their own lives, estates, and health. It is an honor to help people assert the right to self-determination.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my partner, Nathan, and our family and friends. We enjoy going on bike rides and walks around our town and trying new restaurants in Minneapolis during the summer. In the colder months, you will find me curled up with a good book and tea on our couch.
Fall is my favorite season, and I go all out with fall festivities including but not limited to apple picking, pumpkin carving, haunted hayrides and trying every single fall themed coffee and treat that I can get my hands on!
What is a fun fact about you?
I am the youngest of eight children and I am the first attorney in my family on both sides!
