Julia Sams
Human Resources Generalist

What is your experience/qualifications?
I earned my B.S. in Human Resources & Marketing from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in 2019 and soon found myself in the world of recruiting. After working as a recruiter for some time, I shifted to the operations side of recruiting where I stayed for four years before joining the firm. These experiences have given me a well-rounded foundation in both people and process, which I now bring to my role at Safe Harbor.
What Do You Do In Your Spare Time?
My favorite thing to do is go to live music events with my husband, Jack, and our close friends. When I’m not enjoying live music, you can find me visiting restaurants around the Twin Cities, planning my next travel adventure, and spending quality time with our two cats.
What Do You Like Most About Estate Planning and Elder Law?
What I love most about this work is watching people’s stress transform into relief. Some clients come in feeling confused or overwhelmed, but once they understand their options and see everything laid out clearly, you can almost feel the weight lift off their shoulders. It’s incredibly rewarding to help people realize that estate planning doesn’t have to be scary or complicated—and that their loved ones will be taken care of when the time comes.
Fun Fact:
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area before I moved to Minnesota for college. It still has a piece of my heart, and I go back whenever I get the chance!
