Linnea Peasley

Legal Assistant II

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I am a long-time coffee drinker and love sitting with a latte catching up with friends, especially if it is at my favorite coffee shop. When the weather calls for it, I enjoy using my e-bike for a casual ride with my partner. When it is cold outside, I will most likely be inside cuddling my sweet cat, Nox, hopefully watching a soccer match (or should I say football?). My current obsession is watching Wrexham FC games.

What is your experience/qualifications?

I graduated with my BA in 2020 with an emphasis in Psychology and Social Welfare. Post-college, I worked at a non-profit organization as an Administrative Assistant. Soon after, my career switched to massage therapy where I was able to lean into my hands-on (pun intended) people skills. I am so grateful that I got to work in such a life-giving and fulfilling field. Following that, I stepped back into admin work first as a Legal Assistant at a law firm that focused on workers’ compensation claims and then as a Paralegal/ Legal Assistant at a law firm specializing in family law.

What do you like most about estate planning/elder law?

Working in estate planning and elder law feels like the perfect combination of my past work experience and my passion for people. What I like most is how meaningful the work is, not just for the client I am assisting, but the generational impact it can have on their family. The pros of creating an asset protection or estate plan outweigh the cons by a long shot, and it is so fulfilling to see clients feel relief when they know they are setting themselves and their families up for a smoother ride.

What is a fun fact about you?

I am a huge lover of plants. I have a spider plant that I have made so many propagations from that I am running out of people to give them to! I am always taking recommendations for plants that are cat safe.
